This 4 step recipe is quick and easy to prepare and a great way to also the nutrient
benefits of walnuts. As you read this you may think this is a bit strange, but try it before
you move onto another recipe. My kids love them.
1.
Peel bananas.
2.
Cut into 3 pieces. Take each piece and slice it lengthwise. Place on tray or plate
rounded side down (flat portion face up)
3.
Spread 1 -2 teaspoons of mayo to each flat side up banana section.
4.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon (or as much as you like) walnut pieces over mayo and serve.
You can substitute natural peanut butter for Mayo.
Extra little information about bananas
Potassium – helps regulate blood pressure and muscle function
Vitamin B6 – supports metabolism and brain health
Vitamin C – antioxidant, supports immune system
Magnesium – aids in energy production and nerve function
Manganese – supports bone health and metabolism
Small amounts of: folate, riboflavin, and iron
